7 December - McEwan Park Petone, Lower Hutt -NZ _____________
We've created one of the most unusual programmes ever attempted. The evening starts at 6pm with a FREE family concert to celebrate the coming of Christmas. We've called it SANTA at SUNSET Visit our special page to see what's on the programme! Anyone under 18 will be asked to leave the park by 9pm - thats when the World's Big Sleep Out begins. Those staying for the later entertainment and/or Sleeping out overnight MUST be registered and WristBanded. You can do this by clicking any of the DONATE Links and buttons, give your donation (min $30) Print out or have the digital receipt with you when you arrive and check-in to get your official wristband.
The official Sleep out period starts at 9pm with music, poetry, storytelling, real life 'experiences', comedy, dance, kapa haka, multi-cultural performances and much, much, more. After the last Big Screen Story at 11.00pm (approx.) those who are supporting the Homelessness Awareness can sleep under the stars until 6am Sunday morning. Our target is to get as many people in the greater Hutt/Wellington Region to join us on the night. Help our charity OrangeSky NZ and put more equipment, vehicles and people onto our streets to help the homeless in our community. It matters!
